Have you ever felt so close to death
that you can breathe it in?
Have you ever seen his face so close
that you can dream?

Bare face hidden by his silken cloak
but you catch a glimpse
and you wonder where your death will lead

Can it be better than this?
Do you run or try to escape?

You make empty threats...
Might cut yourself a bit...

But do you ever hold the blade so close
just trying to gain the courage
to drive it deep?

Do you lie bleeding and watch yourself in the mirror on the back of the bathroom door?
Or do you cry for help?
