I stare at you
eyes fixated on your intentions
then I slowly close my eyes
holding you inside
unwilling to abandon this image
I want so desperately to brand my mind
Reaching out I brush your cheek
and feel your skin become one with me
and if I could hold you here I would
but I know it would be in vain
that you'll never stay
and you fade
moment by moment farther away
you stray
I'll hold this breath
in hopes of your return
and pray I don't burn
as I franticly yearn

just
to
hold
you
again

great write. "then I slowly close my eyes holding you inside unwilling to abandon this image I want so desperately to brand my mind" that part made it really good :P

My favorite part is when you close your eyes to keep the image... Yay.
