I try to ease the day
I've given up on seizing the day
But it's the pain...
somehow keeps me sane
It hurts like hell
being trapped in this circumstance
And tears me apart from happenstance
Yet, I long for this.
I treasure all we've had
All I've been given
Yet there's more that I can never have
And I settle for the pain
restricted on this plane
of half-reality and half-denial

I'll make it through to you
I don't know how
But I'll be there
Wearing this crimson heart upon my sleeve.

lots of emotion in this. i like the hard wordiness. it's like the words are hot metal on a page burning through. i really enjoyed this.
