this smoke slowly floats away from my lips
tasting the torment of each one they've kissed
clouding and still, forms an evil embrace
this smoke blankets my guilt laden face

this smoke is pale grey and unseemingly thick
suffocating anyone in whom it sees fit
choking the life of all who once cared
this smoke chooses those who die in fresh air

this smoke disguises to be your best friend
though you soon realize, you cannot pretend
that when everyone else has left you and gone
you wind up lost in this life ending fog
