as my eyes start to doze
my fate of a tattered rose
what i see before me
is a man on bended knee
with a red rose in his right
holding it with all his might
in his left a box
he asked, please dont talk
for i have something i need to tell
and please dont start to yell
it is something you need to know
i will tell you then i must go
for this is it for me
i want to get married you see
im all dressed up
on my kneee in this tux
we've been together for quite some time
i always felt like you were mine
i always thought i loved you so
but there is something you ought to know
            this box in my hand
yes it is a wedding band
eternal love has prevailed to me
forever always i want to be
but one thing i truly need to say
your not the one i want to stay
someone else has taken my heart
my love for you just fell apart
now it is time for me to wed
im sorry for what i have said
it was just not meant to be
thats all now i must leave
as i sit there torn apart
for my love has stole my heart
and taken it away from me
for fate i thought it was
and crushed it a million times
it wasnt merely puppy love
i now thought my life was close
my fate of a tattered rose.
