we danced together on stage
in the hot lights
i knew i was supposed to smile
but you were leaving
and the tears flowed freely
you inspired me with your magnificant grace
poetry emptied from all of your limbs
you inspired me to be myself
to show my emotions through movement
to dance
but your going away to college
and i cant dance anymore without you
its not the same
no one danced like you
but that night on stage
we both danced like never before
and everything disappeared
except me and you
taht was how dance is supposed to feel
