Take all of my regrets
And let them burn.
Let them sizzle
Like bacon frying
On the surface of the Sphinx.
May they soon evaporate
Until I no longer
Feel the need to apologize
For the course my life has taken.

Take all of my past mistakes
And let them burn.
Let them shower in smoke
As the events of yesterday
Cease to affect the present time.
May the embers smite the wrongs
So that I may truly
Make the right choices today.

Take all of my toxic relationships
And let them burn.
Let them smolder
So I may no longer be bound
To those who fail to exist
Within the realm of morality.
May I stomp out the ashes
Of those devoid of loyalty
So I can no longer feed addictions to abuse.

Take my rage
And let it burn.
Or rather let it be quenched,
For the flames are fanned far more than needed.
May my anger
No longer get the better of me
And may other muses
Invade the core of my creativity.

Take my insecurities
And let them burn.
Let them burst into flames
So that I may be comfortable
Within the confines of my bones.
May fear no longer be a factor for me.
May thoughts of death no longer limit my ability to live.

Take my bouts of depression
And let them burn.
Let them combust
And become engulfed in heat.
May my winter, spring, summer, and fall doldrums
Not stand in the way of my ambitions.
Allow my drive to escape from the smog.

Take everything I used to be
And let it burn.
Let it burn,
So that a new person can emerge
Like a rising phoenix.
May I never revisit the weaker me.
The defensive me.
The confused me.
The abused me.
The impulsive me.
The cold me.
The misanthropic me.
May I emerge.
May I achieve.
May I win.

'Let them burst into flames so that I may be comfortable within the confines of my bones.' I know exactly what that means. It takes work but I'm sure you can do it.
