Over the ivory horizon
He lurks.
A man with crimson credentials
Watches over five billion landmines
Waiting to explode.
Where an unjustifiable means exists,
He lurks.
He operates a ferris wheel
Simplistic in design,
But lethal in implications.
The attractions in his carnival
Have long lines,
Thousands of rides,
Many locations,
And a train transporting thrillseekers
Throughout the grounds.
When time presents itself,
He lurks
Behind a megalomaniacal mask
Marked by a square of hair
Lying north of a river of deceit.
He lingers behind a shield
Mapping the blueprints
Of the next field of amusement.
Inside the trunks of our vehicles,
He lurks.
Violent wars
Followed by vindictive wills
Succeeded by veiled wrath
All fuel the engine of uniformity.
Mercedes,
His assistant,
Handles the rest.
This reclusive being lurks
From the Masada suicides
To the Bergen-Belsin genocides.
Personified evil resides among the Semites.
I have sought him out many times
And have found him just as many.
Within schoolyards.
Around water coolers.
Inside small trenches
Filled with dimpled spheres.
I would die
Six million times over
If I could save my ancestors from slaughter.
I find him everywhere.
Where the imprisoned are abused.
Where intelligence is misused.
Where sheep flock under a banner of unity
Stained with false pretenses.
It is shameful
That he emerges from the ashes
Of famed scholars.
Throughout the flames,
He dances,
Cutting embers,
Flinging shrapnel in every direction.
Rest is not possible at this point.
It may take a year or so
Before any action is taken
To protect the truth.
It's very reminiscent of the last time.
I march behind an invisible general.
This bagel-eating vampire from Hymietown, USA
Is not a forgiving blood sucker,
For I know
That now and forever,
Regardless of where I stand,
He lurks.
