We will engage in a trek

Back to a verdant sanctuary.

We hope you will join us.

We shall travel towards

The delicate touch of the brightest star,

For we know that the gibberish

Fed to us

Through years of conditioning

Echoes in our minds.

It doesn't last very long,

For we drive those voices down

Into little boxes

Stored under flowery tombs.

We are warriors,

Yet we never turn down love.

We never hide ours either.

We are butterflies,

Sharing our palettes with the universe.

We'd like to get to know your rainbows

And hope you will return them

To the earth below as raindrops.

Taste the fruit on our lips.

They contain the sweetness of wine

And the refreshing taste of lemonade.

We share this garden with you.

We are carpenters,

Piecing together the foundations of compassion.

Follow your love to the oasis,

Away from social constructs

And towards the truth.

Even when we become vulnerable,

We don't have to mask our pain

Or feel afraid to shed tears,

For the rays of sunshine

Have many effects on our psyches.

We are conductors

On a locomotive to peace.

We shall ride on the backs of dragons,

Soaring faster than the Concorde,

For there are trails

Paved in the heavens.

Songs of our youth

Shall be sung

While we bask in the glow

Of the sun.

We shall overcome

The barriers

Placed in front of us by tyrants,

Because we know of the trend

Of liberators

Stripped of soul

Through bullets

Of varying alloys.

We shall swallow our pride

And lay loose,

Hanging ten on waves

Of our dreams.

We shall ride out these hurricanes,

Because although we remain high on life,

Our values will cement us to the ground,

And become one with the elements.

Just another beautiful day

In the country of a multitude of gods.
