Just pondering...
My usual thoughtless squandering,
And what good it ever leads to
except knowing that i care
(perhaps a bit too much)
with my every breath of air

And I'm wishing you were here
So I could hold you, feel you
year after year after year...
or at least for a while
just enough to make you smile -
then I would smile too,
never more to misconstrue
just how I feel for you

I'd be rather more secure
than a few hours before
when my life was quite askew
feeling down and sort of blue;
pondering, wondering,
what life would be with (or without) you...
