I wrote a poem of love today
and another one of hate
I turned my head to look away
and once more to see straight
I laughed and smiled as from the heart
And shed my tears as well
Talked to God, asked for a new start;
He showed me a deeper Hell
I thanked him then for what I've got
But later I did blaspheme
When He was gone out of earshot
I cursed his name and Scheme
For what good is God's final plan
If it means we live in pain?
I really tried to understand
but my trying was in vain
So in the end I wish to say
'Try to live life free'
For if you follow God's own way
You may end in misery.
