I could compare you to the sun,
yet even the sun
in it's most glorious of moments
is flawed.
I could compare you to a rose,
yet even the most fragrant flower
bear thorns.
I could compare you to the stars,
for just as the stars are distant,
I feel you slipping farther away
from me.
