A dark and lonely place
Fearful of what might come
You try to hide
But there's nowhere left to run

An outcast with no turning back
Memories of a grand past
makes it hurt
even more

Fear mixed with anger
Burns in your mind
like molten fire

Maybe now you realize
the size of your fall
As you bear
Your withered wings.

lovely work. It left me feeling sort of sad. Wonderful use of imagery. :D
