The coldness of winter
was still in his heart
No comfort, no love
his soul torn apart
In bleakness he wandered
All joy swept away
But then to his heart
spring came one day
Beauty made flesh
Stood shrouded in white
Sadness suppressed
his heart felt so light
He:
Oh fairest of maidens,
how come you stand here?
Why, upon your cheek,
a glistening tear!
Wherefore do you weep?
Or is that a secret you
keep?
She:
Nay, a secret it is not
My curious friend
I weep, for my loneliness
that will not end.
And why I stand here
I do not know
Is there perhaps
a better place to go?
He:
Loneliness has haunted
my heart as well
but the sight of you ended
my solitary hell
So come to me
my beautiful flower
and you will never again
for solitude cower
She:
Such sweet words
spill from your tongue
But will you take care of me
when I'm no longer young?
What if you leave me
when summer is through?
My loneliness will grow,
because of you.
He:
That is not
a way to think
Solitude will always be
if you dare not link.
Once again,
I plead come to me
From sorrows bond
set yourself free!
She:
Then will you caress me
give comfort and trust
And not only have me
for your own lust?
When I'm cold will you hold me
in your warm embrace?
And when I weep will you wipe
the tears from my face?
Oh please, do not leave me
wandering in pain
for I will not be able
to face it again.
He:
My love, I said
I will not go away
Remember that I too
was alone 'til this day
But the bleakness has vanished
and so has the stone
that weighed down my heart
when I was alone.
You are the source
to this joy that I feel
Now that I've found you,
My soul has been healed.
She:
Eating a pie
can give taste for more
Especially if you've only
had one before.
He:
You are my only,
so say not such things!
Within the year
we will exchange rings.
But why do we stand?
Come let us lie down
And please let me help you
take of your gown
For if chill is still in you,
it will be gone soon
as we lie together
under the moon
She:
A bodily touch
comforting and warm
Is what I need
in this emotional storm
So yes, let us enjoy
each others embrace
I will lie with you here
In this joyous place.
Raven-black hair
covering a bosom so round
As they embrace each other
on the bare ground
Both sorrow and chill
have left their fray minds
to instead be replaced
by a passion so blind...
