As the stars
throw their ghastly
light
upon our souls
We wander through
landscapes
of freezing darkness.
Our bodies twitch
when touched
by branches
long dead
in the cold.
The trees
bend
as if a heavy
weight lay
upon them.
What can be done
when life has
fled
and only despair
remains?
When only death
lives among us
and our inner
beings seek shelter
in madness.
Pointless lives
never getting anywhere,
anything.
See the weakness
within
before it is too late.
