When nothing is and nothing was
There is not much left here for us
What can we do, as time goes by?
Sooner or later we all will die.

I stand alone at the razors edge
                    Trying to fulfill my pledge
A quick cut and the end is here
but I cannot overcome my fear.

The pale moon shines on tears that fall
Just waiting for my final call
                    Silence is a heavy stone
I cannot stand to be alone.

You left me once, my beloved bride
Wish you were here to be my guide
The razorblade that was your bane
                    is slowly driving me insane

I hear it sing a song so sweet
                    Filled with promise, and deceit
It's thirsting for my blood, you see
I want to, but i cannot, flee

Who knows, you might be waiting there
On the other side of my own fear
To comfort me and give me trust
I'm filled with wanting and disgust

Part of me sings with the blade
But the rest of me is too afraid,
to join you in the clear blue sky
Who knows what happens when we die?

But the blade is almost screaming now
It's telling me what to do and how
I let it take control of me
Now I cannot leave it be

It drinks my blood and makes me fade
Before my eyes, appears a shade
Is it for real, this, which I see?
Are you standing there in front of me?

A smile so sweet it fills my heart
For all too long we were apart
When I reach for you, you take my hand
and lead me into the promised land.
