Cypress

~ Jonas ~

Yours is the breath that crackles through cypress trees
I am reminded now of the Sea
Alone upon the sand you spoke to me... breathed into me
A desire for lost lands and things yet unseen

Yours is the kiss of mystery
It stirs something in my soul...
An arcane and venemous beauty like to the poppys of Oz
And the pain of it is exquisit in its intensity
Like I can feel a life-time of missives and Love
Unrequited
Beating on my brow like a frigid sun

Now I dream
Dream of opium and of ecstacy
Of a livid impenetrable haze
And of the menace of impending demise
I dream of things left unsaid
