the death in the old man's voice did not
try to hide itself
but exemplified the sadness and longing
of a young man tangled in the elements of life
that youth so easisly calls mystery

as if to attempt to escape a host of glaring and obvious
ends
that experience may show
to be not that but
a
single
perfect
word
that we can hear god whispering
over and over and over
as each individual beat of the heart is one that is
unique
and is never to come again

"that we can hear god whispering" this felt so vintage...something you'd find carved into stone. so sadly beautiful and reflective.
