i knew this girl until a few days before she found god
and if she knows a little she knows a lot
but sometimes the sun beats down and she evaporates
to rain on the days it feels
almost cold enough to snow

when the sun came up this morning i had no doubt the sky
would be blue
and i wasn't disappointed when light coming
out of eight minutes of nothing arc(ed) from the two
points of the horizon energizing the individual particles of humanity

when the light of the morning is more than enough
to chase away the memory of the fear we felt
staring into the expanse of the night
knowing the light of the stars belies their presence and position
and it's during the few moments of absolute silence
just after four a.m. when no one individual in the western hemisphere is
convinced any other being resides with him on this planet

the glass idol stands always ready to be shattered
where we leave what is conciously forgotten and our gods will
purge the atmosphere of the endless prayer
and we'll never be alone again

this girl she came to think to bed man that didn't wait but took the best of her
so maybe in sharing everything
she could get a bit
back
