release the childish heart from the fear of judgement and flaw
fight for the piece of the morning burning in the raw

we are several degrees from normalcy
facing away from the finger of the needle pointed at the perfect north
promising me home

and promises contain only my faith that's bound to another's ankle as they lie fast asleep
held to their bonds as the river of shit runs deep

-------------

what is forged without fire is breaking as a piece of imagination shattered
by the mortality contained within the lines of the road
and you tried to take her with you
paying her with the petals of a rose

-------------

i dream always of more
and in feeling she can be purchased
have made her a whore behind balanced eyes
weights and measures
i would be blind before i would suffer
something such as that
or so i let myself believe

=============

and if i sail away
and the wind blows the evidence of her from my senses and buries her
beneath the sound of the waves
and if i can become a new man
maybe memory wont hold the way it had
and as strangers we'll find love

You don't craft words, you craft emotions. You move in my chair without turning, caught in the spotlight on my face. Much impressed :)
