the time of life is short and if we live, we live to tread on kings - a bathroom wall and william shakespeare

the bits and pieces we left behind
and the tell-tale signs that we may have landed
on our own two feet

wasting away the delicacy of her features becoming frail
and though i remember her as being beautiful
i can't honestly say i'm not lying to
myself for my own selfish need
for beautifully imaculate visions of the past and
the illusion of validation

goodbye friends of the underground
your feet carry you to satisfaction of need
your heart deliver you the essence of the mystery
(invisible)
so that art and beauty and all of this becomes incorporated into the minerals of your bones

♥ *note - when left a heart by me as a comment its because i wanted you to know i heard you, it just left me w/o something intelligent to say. I'd feel like a dork just leaving "Wow Fish you did it again, awesome write."

because this, "goodbye friends of the underground your feet carry you to satisfaction of need your heart deliver you the essence of the mystery" is so much more than a wishing well of mounting sweet sorrow

but should not the light dawn a new day where the sorrow of our last "good night"s becomes sweet in the fresh scent of "good morning"s, ... then thank you, and I wish I had known you better
