i slept and i dreamed
out of the sun under orchard tree
=
in my dreams i wept for the things that
would never be
=
the becoming
running
=
to unknown ends like a teddy bear that talks when you pull the string
=
and josh bones bears me closer to home
in his double wide
=
like sterling silver rings
that come wholesale from thailand
=
he spoke a mile a minute
for a hundred miles
and never said so much as a word
and josh bones was the world
the skin begins to look stretched thin over his
once young face

mm... i love the poems you write about your travels- you make me want to hitchhike so i can better know the people i meet.
