around here he's always on my mind
every little thing reminds me of him
we had alot of ground to cover in two years in a tiny town,
i don't think we missed a single spot
i need to get away, move away from this
tiny town of memories we created

every room in this house still has a piece of you
lingering
i don't know how many memories i can take
i have to wipe my slate entirely clean
(new everything)
         ...to forget about you

first i'll burn everything
change my face, find a new place
get a new name

because everytime i hear it, i hear your voice
..echoing behind in a gentle whisper

i don't think i was done
                            hearing that yet

Yes, the memories linger and take on voices that can speak unwanted words in the quiet moments...carried on the wind to further irritate wounds we hope will heal.

The song on the radio, the way the light hits the table...even the smell of something very common, yet inextricably linked... Nice presentation of the feelings expressed. Ciao, T/S
