with all the stars recluse I am alone in the fog
of this draining atmosphere I called my own
your eyes shut as you play the softest song
on your wings you bring me home

now through flickers of a nightmare
hellish fires and screaming choirs creep through my flesh
tears fell from your empty socket stare
the burden you carried was played and blessed

you cried and you prayed for the soul you sought to save
while devils refused to listen and angels turned away
we writhe in silly fashion throughout the demon dance
echoing the eulogies of our own remembrance

apacolyptic fire across orange horizon set aflame
ritualistic candor affixed to the end of little games
and as your shoulder blades turn heavenly blacked wings
you receive my soul unto your yielding heartstrings
