the stars from your eyes fell to the ground
swept from the sky without making a sound
as we weave secrets into the night air
I wonder contently if you're really there
each kiss a rogue match struck against a rough lip
swallowed inside me to your gasoline I sip
if you left to go seek out the promise of tomorrow
I'd die to stop you in your tracks, the time I'd try to borrow
attachments torn so deeply through, at last you finally see
these tears convict each passing feeling of what you mean to me
and if you kissed my tears away with your hopeful lovelorn song
this elation I'd still succumb to, but to me
it's already gone

I thought this was an interesting line "each kiss a rogue match struck against a rough lip". The ending slapped me. Good stuff. :::OLd
