Kiss me, and tell me im your only one,
And hold me, till the day is done,
And I will go happy into that unending dark.

Make me believe that I light your world,
Let me pretend, for a while, that this paradise is real
Help me delude myself, so the despair will stay away a bit longer

And when my heart aches, comfort me,
And when my rage burns hot soothe me,
Be my only one, if only for a while, if only for pretend

And when I cannot fool myself any longer,
Help me down gently, so I do not break on the rocks of reality
Make me feel I am not so alone

Kiss me, and tell me I am your one and only
And hold me, the whole night though,
So when the reaper comes I can meet him with a smile

Tell me I am the best, that my prowess is unmatched
And teach me to be so in fact
Because I hate to feel second best

And when I am jealous, assure me they were nothing
When I wallow in darkness, shed your light on me
Love me, and stay with me...

If only because I die, day by day, on my own.
Buoy me up and give me reason to go on,
Because this life is hollow without someone to share it with

Love me, and let me know you care
Help me to sleep when I am troubled
And when Thanatos comes I can leave without regret.

Help me believe my lies for one more day
Let me have the illusion that keeps me sane
Because without it, nothing is worth it.

When I start to question set me at ease
And when I fail, assure me it will get better (even if it won't)
Feed me the psuedo-love that keeps me going

Because this life IS hollow, they days meaningless wandering
When you walk its paths alone, they are all the same,
And love is its only true redemption

Make me believe you love me,
And be careful with my heart,
It has been patched too much already

Give me what I crave, what I need,
So that I can continue on.

good imagery. its strange what significance we give to the meaning of reality, because there is absolutely none, life is the illusion we make it. i relate to this approach, softly spoken with a desperate tone...good work.

this is a truly spectacular piece of work...the longing for the comfort so needed...the pleading for sustainance...remarkable

god...this made me step back and look at myself for a moment...its so painful and so familiar. we all want that sense of security to know there is someone there who loves you more than anything.

Soft and tenderly spoken.. I read it quietly, even, in my mind.. mouthing silently the words.. a hushed write because of its radiant presence. Nicely done, my friend.
