Hopes and Dreams
And half baked wishes

A bridge to the stars
That was never complete

Reaching, stretching, yearning
For the pure fire they offer

To burn away the harsh realities
Leaving only the memory of a better day

Bitter bitter medicine
When you learn the truth of life

That life is an illusion
A dream within a dream

Through which we walk
Half blined by the sleep of innocence

Ah, the tears make a sweet salt sea
So easy to drown in

Then again...
So easy to float in as well

omg Dev, thought provoking to say the very least, starting off in a solemn way temper a little sadness into it and just sweep it skyward with the last lines, like releasing a dove.....wonderful
