Dark dawn again today...
the light is there he knows,
but he just cant see it.

-huddling in his room-

a mindless scream against the void inside
rage and suffering unleashed
in a thoroughly unsatisfying vocal explosion

-he lusts for violence-

always craves what he cannot have
his horizons moving farther away with each breath
draining his will to go on

-playing with knives, alone-

traitorus thoughts of suicide
easy door to nothingness
the devils playground in his room

-a single perfect crimson drop-

he turns to the shadows,
in them he finds what he has sought after
for so long

-at last he is whole-

he rises and turns to face the dawn
for the first time in so long
he sees the light

-and feels the warmth on his face-

loved the 'a mindless scream' stanza, it caught me like a hard left hook. So much tinted with an aching frustration to end with such a sweet quiet. Great work.

This was... intense. I read it in a monotone voice in my head. Very matter-of-fact. But the message is clear and powerful. Sad. Beautiful. -Glass
