It was 2 years today when I sat back
stretched my legs out and smiled softly
at my dear love. I remember the way our
hands sparked like lightning when we
touched, the way our eyes held an
unbreakable gaze, and the smile that
broke from our faces each countless time
held that stare

And promised me a dream I’ve long forgotten
Giving me purpose, and a melody to my bland words
Like setting poetry in motion;
Encasing a music box in my heart
That plays along your every movement
And I remember the way you blushed with your ears
Whenever I called you beautiful

Letting my heart singsong its own romantic melody
sung only for you in my sweetest of dreams
lulling me to sleep like a perfect lullaby,
I smile thinking of your wonderful shining eyes
reminding me of what I have to live for.
And oh how I long to tell you exactly how I feel
but the words stick in my throat
on the tip of my tongue.
I love you so
I never dreamed a love so simple and pure
would come to me this perfectly.
You're my heaven, my everything.
