I'm that emptiness in your heart you can't seem to fill,
that glimpse of the truth when nothing feels real,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that lost soul in the night looking for a home,
that out sider with no friends trying to stay strong,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that rage thats comes deep down from your soul,
those last two stanzas that make your poetry whole,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that love that completes your life,
the eternal gift of knowing whats right,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that strength of those words that gives you one more day,
that silence in your breath when your left with nothing to say,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that place that stays active at night,
that friend that wont leave your side,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm that home that welcomes the sick, loved, and the hurt,
that microphone that gives the world a chance to speak their words,

I am Dark Poetry,

I'm those open hands when you need a place to run and hide,
that last place of life when your trying to survive,
