Sitting on top of Mt. Everest
Skimming my fingers under oncoming planes
Looking out onto a beautiful moving floor of clouds
I feel ecstasy as I close my eyes,
Put my hands out and let the wind carry me
Through the sky,
Falling through the covers of clouds
I breathe a silent breathe
The wind provides a flying bed
Feeling light as a feather
Coasting me slowly back down to the ground
Away from the jagged rocks,
Away from the blistering snow,
And Away from this mountain of peaceful death,
The Rules “You stay where you Die”
Run through my head seeing the
Unsuccessful bodies peppered along
this beautiful white grave,
Hitting The Ground, Flat footed I look
Back up toward a mountain said to be
“Beyond The Limits Of Humanity”
Thinking So many people have made it,
Yet so many people have died.
It’s Sacred,
It’s Beautiful,
It will take your breath away…..Literally
