Welcome Home

Gagging out a greeting, opening the Gate.
vomit spittle, dripping from his twisted maw.
   burning like acid
little holes in the stone floor.

  repulsion at the vision
  endless-oozing sores cover the Gatekeeper,
    like a coat of disease
 morally wounded forever.

 Disgust gives birth to horror
   a scream,
   ensnared by my cobwebbed tongue
  struggles in silence

Feet, and bowels passing
 through the open Gate, inferno
 smog, rancid, rages from below
seeking

Lustfully, brutally invading
 my guts and brain
   like a horde of parasites
devouring all that is my human disguise.

Dark Angel's malignant rebirth, eternal.
   unholy millions, insane
 screaming in tormented harmony
welcome home, Master, welcome home

I know the viewpoint's not quite the same, but I can't help but think of 'the Monkey's Paw' while reading this... perhaps the imagery because otherwise 'Heart of Darkness' would seem a better comparison

the horror, the horror... that terrible beautiful moment of self-realization, even self-actualization... the masks are stripped, the ego laid bare

On Sunday December 10th, 2006, MercyRain (134) writes:
nothing left but that terrible moment of finally seeing what lies beneath it all... terrible beauty, beautiful terror, the hand that holds the puppet strings is yours all along

I always did like your overly graphic but somehow still polite? or gracefull style....u are proof that its how you say it mostly not what you actually said. :D

it was very malicious! i liked it. the use of exotic verbal communication between words is exquisite. You greet the world with manifested truths!
