Today is the day
For all things new
All things blue
All things that are few
Today is the day I will rescue
======================
The sun sits high over my head
Beating me down with it's
Neverending rays of sunshine

A sense of well-being
Floats in the air coating
Everything in sight
======================
But the forecast today
Was nothing like how it is
*This way*Not Grey*

Scattered showers, lightning and thunder
Dull gloomy skies
*To pull us under*

Sometimes we like to play
In the puddles it leaves behind
*Have a good time*

Mother tells us not to get wet
Oops too bad we're soaked
*Moms not stoked*Just croaks*
=======================
But that is not the case at all
Because there is no rainfall

Just the heat of the sun
To cloud our vision

A sudden urge of sleepiness
That the sun has caused with fierceness

As it sends us all to wonderland
That state of endless dreaming
========================
There was no reason to have argued
Because today is the day I rescued

you write of hope, and dreamery. and o how i wish i could write like that. i did when i was younger. maybe a few years ago. then it all went down the drain. but i respect you holding onto it.

such gorgeous imagery! this was very dreamy and lush with a fantasy-like quality. "Sometimes we like to play In the puddles it leaves behind *Have a good time*", so much depth and meaning, not letting the bad times go. Amazing, Morb, I'm stunned. :) -L
