A long time ago...

Jess sighed as Josh fell away.
In this space, two people dare,
to make a life, without love shared.

The road is long, as the path is wide,
you don't know, both your whole lives,
combine inside.
Will you think, in the days to come,
Let's not watch the same re-run.

In that place,
about halfway through,
ancient laws react for what they'll do.

Hate is oil,
set to boil,
while innocent love waits;

Like roots for soil.

The road is long, as the path is wide.
What clings to her walls,
Will die outside.

Did they think this time would come,
youthful songs,
could not be sung?

If you might make a change,
How much of it,
would you re-arrange?

Childhood toys, in neat little boxes,
high on a shelf,
far from the sight,
Of their beautiful self.

Look!

There's an answer
in the face,

not born yet.

life in blood,
and the course not set.

This poem meanders along like the flow of a river. Open your mind. Relax. And float downstream. 'The Path' reminds me of Robert Frost's THE ROAD NOT TAKEN, if I am not mistaken. Thank you. ~Shane~
