I wish I could be,
all that you want.
I wish I could please
everyone.
But I can't
I wish I was loved,
adored,
but most of all,
accepted.
I wish I could change.
But I can't.
I wish you could
see past my clothes,
my hair,
the color of my skin.
I wish you would
see me,
as I am.
No make-up,
no mask.
Just me.
But you can't,
or you won't.
And I'm only wasting my time.
