To make me feel better,
cough syrup, a pill.
Prescription, after prescription,
a massive doctor bill.

I feel like I'm dying,
come home and lie down.
Take all my medicine,
feel as if I could drown.

Turn on the T.V.,
and slowly slip away.
I can only hope tomorrow,
will be a better day.

As I slowly drift away,
I think "why me".
It seems I'm always sick,
but how can that be.

My time's running short,
I'm getting so deep,
falling now quickly,
into my medicated sleep.
