Always hurting,
never free.
Always you,
but never me.

Afraid to live,
afraid to die,
afraid to blink,
afraid to cry.

Sitting alone,
never to find,
companion or aide,
left behind.

Wishing for love,
wishing for grace,
wishing for acceptance,
and one last embrace.

All moves around me,
I'm stuck in the past.
All that once was,
was never to last.

Happiness ended,
my will long since died.
But no one can say,
I never tried.

Alone in pain,
am I really so blind,
to hold on to the past,
and be left behind.
