Close your eyes, don’t you cry
Go to sleep and be dreaming
The night is here and I am near
And life is often very wearing
You’ll dream all night, without a fight
And all your misery will be disappearing
You’ll dream of life, without the strife
And all your sorrows will be depleting

Go to sleep and dream away
All your sorrows and your pain
And when you rise, uncover your eyes
Waking back to reality

Wipe your tears, no more fears
For now your life can be redeeming
Peace of mind, for some time
From all the desolation preexisting
All your woes, have took their tolls
And now its time to sleep, and you’ll seek
A way to survive life’s unsparing

So go to sleep and dream away
All your sorrows and your pain
And when you rise, uncover your eyes
Waking back to reality
