A glance at the past when I look at whats reality
A wake from a dream when its hard to stay asleep
A cold sudden chill from a tear down my cheek
A repeated routine when life cuts you down deep
A drug for the pain and a pill to keep a beat
A high to hide the anguish when all you do is weep
A moon of black sorrow under eyes so bleak
Another hour lost from counting down sheep
