What once was there
will never be found
the lawful little girl
who was surely bound
to succeed in life
and do no wrong
sinless and faultless
innocuous all along
Because
hopes
and dreams
were color coding everything
but now
i see
that life will never be
so pure
and good
everyway that it should
because now
you see
I'm no longer naive
you started out innocent
thoughtful and true
but life tends to change that
so your no longer you
all of what you've done
and all of what you've seen
all what life has put you through
making innocence just a mockery
because
hopes
and dreams
were color coding everything
but now
i see
that life will never be
so pure
and good
everyway that it should
because now
you see
It's no longer for me
Innocence is just a memory
of virtues lost and gone
and now the only one left standing
is a corrupted scared fawn
who is sinful yet wise
of everything she sees
guilty of being hopeless
and falling to her knees
because hopes
and dreams
were color coding everything
and now
i see
that life will never be
so pure
and good
everyway that it should
because now
you see
it can no longer be

i was picturing you on a podium telling this to your friends and family...and every one who has been misinformed as to who you are.

the rhyming was smooth in the beginning but then it seemed to completely stop as the poem progressed. mixed me up a little. its ok though. no harm done *stumbles away dizzily*
