While sitting on the beach,
Watching the sun go down.
I thought I heard you call my name,
And I swiftly turned around.

I looked about me,
Trying to see where you might be,
But I was on the beach alone,
With only the waves for company.

I remembered our first meeting,
I remembered our last.
I was saddened by the thought
Of thinking of the past.

I have my life to live now,
There's no turning back,
I've lost you forever
And that's a sad fact.

I'll love you forever,
I'll never forget,
Especially when the blazing sun,
Has slowly just set.
