My eyes meet yours
Across the way.
As a slow beat rhythm
Begins to play.

You smile at me,
I start to blush,
You move towrds me,
My blood does rush.

Upon the dance floor,
You doth lead me,
A promising night
This appears to be.

We dance together,
Our bodies in tune.
I feel some regret,
That it will end soon.

I drink in your face,
Your sensuous neck.
I feel my teeth grow,
Control! Keep myself in check.

I feel my body
Grow warm with desire,
You shall soon feel,
The heat of my fire.

The song ends,
You lead me away.
To your place we'll go,
Oh then, Shall we play!

You'll whisper sweet words
While under my spell,
Before you realize to late,
That I am from Hell.

I look sweet, innocent
but it all is a mask,
You would never know
My most devious task.

You'll moan and you'll groan
As I drink out your soul.
The more withered you become,
The more I am whole.

I'll drink out your soul,
And leave you for dead.
Till my thirst returns,
and I seek another "friend"

Beware who you choose,
for that special song,
You might find your decision,
To be very wrong.

But for now,
Tis time for my sleep.
Remember my words,
If your soul, you'd keep.

not about vampires? Then is it about a succubus? That would make sense. Anyway, wonderful.

Wow, chillingly beautiful. You have great command of rhythm -- I really enjoy that in poetry. Great write.
