I walk inside,
This hollow tower.
To gather strength,
To gather power.

The tower's walls
are made of stone.
My footsteps echo off them,
Assure me, that I'm alone.

The walls, they seem
To talk to me.
Of what has past,
Of what may be.

They whisper of
My hopes, my fears.
They guarantee my safety,
If any danger does appear.

To retreat within,
To cry and weep.
Know that I am safe inside,
To dream, to sleep.

This hollow tower,
With it's cold, stone walls.
Will keep me safe, in it's embrace,
When the tears of Heaven, fall.

I sense how symbolic this may be, unfortunately, much of said symbolism is lost on me. This particular poem is not of my usual, preferred style, but it was a pleasant change of pace. Thank you.

This is a really good poem. When I was reading it I felt like the poem was actually talking to me. It is really good and has somthing to it that makes you stop and think. Keep up the goos work.

this has a nice picture that flows with it, kinda like walking up a spiril stair case in a mid-evil castle, with different shades of grey brick wall, nice read, most enjoyable.~~~Grave

I am glad that you are enjoying my work. Can't wait to see what you say on "Soul Stealer" or "The Flower"... These two are my personal favorites.
