She breaths life into shame,
it's on the inside she harbors her pain.
But no one will listen,
who would hear?
No one wants to listen to the girl who never sheds her tears.

She'll be alright,
she lies through her teeth.
she promises to keep her aches underneath.

She walks down the hall,
face flushed, hands white.
she blends into the walls,
and if someone should notice her,
she simply smiles with might.

She'll be alright,
she lies through her teeth.
She promises to keep her aches underneath.

A costume, a mask,
a disguse if you will.
a complicated task,
she swallows like a pill.

She'll be alright,
she lies through her teeth.
She promises to keep her aches underneath.

She never allows people to watch her cry,
she knows this is held against her.
Instead of truth she tells a lie,
her explaination is that life is a blur.

She'll be alright,
she lies through her teeth.
She promises to keep her aches underneath.

Applying her lip gloss,
for a thousand lost causes.
A thick line of eye makeup,
In front of the mirror she pauses.
To repeat to herself...

I'll be alright.
No one notices that i lie through my teeth.
Thank god i can keep my aches underneath.
