Imagery, so importantly,
Flash politics
Face flatterring stun guns
hit the backdrop of my wall
(i just play with buttons)

We are
hiding in unity
Amnesty canopy
for
The Few
That Prowl-
The Divided.

Proud destruction
Everyone has causes
Has Truths
And Deceit

We build them
Forge our names
On plaques
Scribble on paper
The equations

Keep scribbling
Ink sinks away
Led keeps running out
(we will build them)

The images on my backdrop
Burn with underbelly knowledge
Inside Edition
Constant Constitutions

Concrete ideas
Knock down
Concrete walls
With enough force
You're but a paper weight.

Sappers
We give knowledge
We give danger
Underbellies,
Flash politics
We give them time to thrive

"We keep on building
to give you something to destroy..."

My friend told me that while he was at Basic, to become a Sapper, there was a plaque on the wall, a commemorative something or other for Sgt. Timothy McVey. We breed the brains that break us. Food for thought.

Ahh the title is so sweet and light-hearted.. misleading, this is such a meaningful poem, intense as Tim said, and every line seeming to be thrown at you like a threat. I like. ~Wish Upon A Star
