naked
sitting cross-legged
in a a square of light
on the floor
rays from the sun
shot through
the sky light in the roof

absorbing
gestating
licking the fear from the air
sweating
perspiring

extending my arms
forearms cast in shadows
cooled by shade
waiting for night to come
