You radiate beauty,
Sweet innocence you portray.
Wrapped within your silken lips,
My heart you shall betray.
I've fallen in love with you,
As I am held deeply in your arms.
You part the darkness within me,
Keeping me safe from harm.
Yet now the road splits in twain
We must go our separate ways
The love that was so golden
Passes just as does the day.
No longer shall I hold you,
Nor shall I see your face.
My love for you has weakened,
I can't keep up the pace.
So now I must say goodbye,
How it hurts me deep inside.
Yet now the darkness beckons me,
There is no place to hide.
So go unto your burning sun,
While I dwell within the night.
Whisper your words within another's ear,
For with him you'll take flight.

The title almost mocks those last few lines leave such a heavy burden on my heart. This is so beautifully worded.
