I was hurt today
By your tears, by your pain
I was wounded by all the hurt in your eyes
I was hurt today
By your cold stare
By the ice that grips your heart so tightly
I was hurt today
By the way you shove me aside
Hurt by you claiming my feelings for you are nothing but lies
Yes, I was hurt today
Cut deeply by your knife
But I will not hold the pain you've caused me against you
I am not going to turn my back on you like all the rest
I will not abandon you, my dove, I refuse
You hurt me, yes, but thats ok
Because to see you smile I'd give you my soul and let you hurt me again and again
