I lay here in waiting, sedating to a silent wonder
No slumber will come to those who crave the grave
Twitching a finger, thoughts seem to linger
Everything lies beside me
Halting, stopping to see
“What is wrong with this poor child?”
“Should we inform the asylum?”
No don’t bother, I wont be here any longer
The angel has come, the solution undone
His wings carry a blade that unfolds a new decade
10 years of lost memories and misplaced keys
10 thousand senseless embraces and broken laces
Boiled down to 10 words I whisper to the 10 I prefer
“Agonize not, I have held too much for too long”
So let go of your sense of right and wrong
Let me go in nostalgia in pieces
Cut off all of these worldly leases
I will fall beyond these jagged wings
Uncertain to what the release brings
I don’t wish for any more catatonia
Replace it all with dire mania
Anything but this stillness
Don’t result me to a catastrophic illness
My death isn’t what I ask for
But rather an onslaught war
Something to remove this halt
Bleed to the earth like a wound to salt
Move, shiver and shake for my sake
Or this world I will not partake
Interest me, save me please
Or I wont ever slumber again
And all of my waiting was in vain.
