There is that door again
Standing there, wide
They ask me to walk away from you
I ask you to fly
“You’re a bird”, you say,
“and I’m just a turtle”
Well, if that’s true, love
I’m ready to settle

Or if not, love, if you are willing,
I’ll tear out a wing and paste it on you
I’ll re-learn to fly, carrying you with me

And we’ll both go slow,
But we’ll fly together
